Fitting and compatibility
Will this kit fit my bike?
Most kits fit a standard bike with 26 inch, 27.5 inch or 700c wheels and a normal steel or aluminium frame. Send us your bike make, model and wheel size before you order and we will confirm it for you.
How long does fitting take?
Most people fit a kit in 60 to 90 minutes. If you can change an inner tube, you can fit one of our kits.
What tools do I need?
Allen keys, a spanner set, tyre levers and cable ties. Nothing specialist.
Do I need to be an expert?
No. Every kit is wired and tested before it leaves us and comes with fitting instructions.
Performance
How far will it go on one charge?
Range depends on battery size, rider weight, terrain and how much you pedal. As a rough guide a 20ah battery gives 40 to 60 miles of mixed riding.
How fast does it go?
Our 250W road legal kits assist up to 15.5mph, which is the UK legal limit. Higher powered kits go faster but are sold for private land and off road use only.
Legality
Is it legal to ride on the road?
Only a 250W pedal assist kit is legal on UK public roads. Anything rated above 250W counts as a motor vehicle in law and needs DVLA registration, tax, insurance and the correct licence. Read our road legal guide before you buy.
Delivery and payment
How long does delivery take?
UK orders ship within 3 working days and usually arrive 2 to 3 days after dispatch. International times vary by country and are shown at checkout.
Can I pay in instalments?
Yes. Instalment options are shown at checkout.
Do you ship outside the UK?
Yes. Battery shipping rules vary by destination, so some international orders ship without a battery. Contact us before ordering from outside the UK.
How do I track my order?
You get a tracking link by email as soon as your order ships.
After you buy
What warranty do I get?
12 months against manufacturing faults on every kit and bundle.
What if something is missing or damaged?
Email us within 3 days of delivery with your order number and photos of the item and the packaging, and we will sort it.
Can I return it if I change my mind?
Yes, within 30 days, as long as it is unused, complete and in resaleable condition. You pay the return postage. Batteries must be unused, sealed and never charged.
How do I look after the battery?
Charge it with the charger supplied. Never leave it charging unattended or blocking a doorway. Store it somewhere cool and dry and top it up before it goes flat. Stop using any battery that is damaged, swollen or has taken an impact and contact us.
